I work with clients who are completely new to therapy, and I also work with clients who’ve been through this whole thing many times before. Either way, I am confident that I can help you take steps towards feeling better. I draw from many types of therapy – Relational, Dialectical-Behavior, and Emotion-Focused, to name a few – in order to form a relationship with you that is effective and supportive.
Many of my clients are struggling with anxiety or depression in addition to anorexia, bulimia, or binge eating. I also work with family members who are caregivers or support people for a loved one who is hurting. I strongly value this work, as I am conscientious of how difficult it can be to provide support and limits to those we care about. When my client needs a higher level of care or an outpatient team, such as a dietitian or psychiatrist, I am well connected to community resources and I can help coordinate needed treatment.
I have a BA from the Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA, and my MSSW from The University of Texas at Austin. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and I have been practicing since 2012.
